EXISTING ITEMS
If you have an item you would like personally engraved or enhanced with an engraved design, I would be happy to talk to you about options and possibilities. In addition to my usual list of offerings, I have also worked on antiques, tables, signage, sentimental items of all sorts, and even guitars.
PAINTING & RESIN DESIGN
As a creative addition to my wood crafting, I also offer acrylic painting and pour-painting, as well as resin design and application.
FOOD-SAFE ITEMS
Many people ask me about whether or not food may be prepared and/or served directly on my wood crafted items, such as cutting boards and trays. Prior to any custom-order project, I will ask whether or not it will need to be food-safe, and if so, I would seal the item with only food-safe substances and finishes, such as mineral oil, organic shellac, or natural beeswax. If the item is not required to be food-safe, then many other finishes may be used, mainly standard varnishes in a variety of finishes. If you are purchasing an item already created by me, it will be indicated on the back side as to whether or not it is indeed food-safe.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Most of my wood-crafted items have care instructions on the back. None of my items, food-safe or not, are safe in the dishwasher, microwave, or oven, and should only be washed by hand with warm water, a gentle cloth and a minimal amount of soap. I also recommend treating many of my items with mineral oil on a regular basis to protect the finish and design.
